April 24, 2026

The 2026 edition of the famous TIME ranking has arrived. In this list of the year’s 100 most influential people, the American magazine notably highlights the French Matthieu Blazy, Chanel’s creative director, as well as several queer personalities from sport, art, or politics.

Each year, the American magazine Time highlights the most influential figures of the moment in its TIME 100 ranking. A choice that remains subjective, admits the publication’s editor-in-chief Sam Jacobs in his editorial: “Throughout the year, we debate who deserves to appear in TIME 100. There is no single criterion to define influence,” he explains. “Our choices are inspired by the events that shape the world each year and by the people who tell them.”” Among these choices, Matthieu Blazy, the new artistic director of Chanel. His nomination is accompanied by a short piece signed by Margaret Qualley, in which the actress close to the house salutes a designer whose presence emanates an impression that is “both intimate and grand.”
